Hometown Lancaster, Pennsylvania
I was raised in Lancaster, PA and attended Manheim Township High School, where I became a leader on the swim team, served on the student council, and gave two years as class Vice President. Brought up in a middle-class family, I’ve spent my life learning from my father the value of the dollar, and how important it is to use it wisely. I am a registered Republican, but consider myself a libertarian, believing in freedoms both personal and financial. I have a brother, who is studying pre-medicine at Franklin and Marshall College, and two dogs.
I have three main goals for my platform.
- I want to protect free speech for the students of Penn State. We live in an America whose two political parties are more polarized than ever, and on many college campuses across this nation, this division is causing many students to have their voices silenced by their schools. I want to fight to ensure that every student of every political belief has the right to speak their mind at their school.
- A financial promise I make is to protect the wallets of everyone, whether they be students of family members of students, who is paying for a Penn State education. This means that I will oppose any budget changes that will result in an increased tuition.
- Finally, I want to directly battle one of the most despicable issues that is plaguing not only Penn State, but every school across the country: sexual assault. As an At-Large Representative, I want to work with the members of UPUA to construct new ways to reduce sexual assault on campus.
I am currently a news candidate for the Daily Collegian newspaper. I am also an active member of the Penn State College Republicans.
