Fabiana Corcino Zegarra

Candidate Biography
My name is Fabiana Corcino Zegarra, a second-year student pursuing a double major in Computational Data Science and Marketing within the Colleges of Engineering and Business. This past year, I participated in the 18th Assembly of the University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA) as an At-Large Representative, engaging in active collaboration and discussions on student affairs, drafting and reviewing legislation, and integrating student needs into actionable changes on campus.

This term, I am seeking the position of Student Senator for the Faculty Senate, representing the Smeal College of Business. As someone eager to learn and contribute to the Senate Assembly while advocating for all students, I am confident in my ability to fulfill this role effectively. Similar to my campaign for At-Large Representative last year, my core values of diversity, inclusivity, and unity will guide my approach to this position. I am committed to upholding these principles and fostering an environment where students feel valued, heard, and understood. As a student worker, an advocate for environmental awareness, and above all, as a member of the Penn State community, I aim to bring diverse perspectives and meaningful conversations to the Assembly. Most importantly, I pledge to listen—to the needs of my peers, to their aspirations, and to the future of our university.

On March 27th, envision the possibilities for our future, and consider casting your vote for Fabiana Corcino Zegarra.
