Ben Koleno

I am running for the Division of Undergraduate Studies Representative in the University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA). I have been involved in many ways here during my first two semesters, most notably as a First Year Council member with the UPUA, as well as a Security Leader for my favorite thing about Penn State, THON! I am also involved in other student organizations such as the Blue and White Society and sports organizations.

If elected, I plan to continue my work in the Campus Operations committee to help further improve our beautiful campus. I will also be in the Academic Affairs Committee. Some things that I wish to accomplish as your representative are:
– Improve campus safety (crosswalks, signage, lighting)
– Improve the CATA bus system (more routes, expanded hours)
– Educate the Penn State community about the work the UPUA does
– Continue to improve the UPUA’s involvement in THON
– Advocate for more school funding

These are just some of the many things I will strive to complete as an elected member of the UPUA. As always, there are areas of improvement around campus and the outside community. I urge you to reach out to the UPUA or myself and set up a meeting to discuss any concerns you may have.
