I’m Noah Youcheff, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for the position of College of Information Sciences and Technology Academic Representative and Student Senator! I have had the honor of working with UPUA within the First-Year Council, where I gained invaluable insights into the workings of our organization and connected with its dedicated members. Through my involvement in committees such as Campus Operations and Academic Affairs, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the responsibilities and qualities required of a student representative. Additionally, I’ve had the privilege of observing the faculty senate, further enriching my perspective on university governance.
However, my passion lies in representing the College of IST, a community I proudly call home. Within IST, I’ve encountered countless remarkable individuals and witnessed the incredible spirit of our college. I am committed to contributing to its continued growth and success. The ambitious plans of the IST Undergraduate Student Council, particularly in outreach and involvement, resonate deeply with me, and I am eager to help develop these initiatives if elected.
Furthermore, I aim to enhance awareness of student governance among undergraduates within our college and foster an environment where every voice is heard. I aspire to be a trusted resource for my fellow students, addressing their concerns and championing their ideas to enhance both our college and the broader Penn State community.
In addition to my work within IST, I am eager to actively contribute to the Student Life committee and its mission of fostering a culture of kindness and inclusivity across our campus. As a prospective member, I am enthusiastic about advocating for initiatives that promote a warm and welcoming environment for all students. It is my sincere belief that every member of our Penn State community deserves to feel valued and supported, and I am dedicated to playing a role in ensuring that our campus embodies these essential principles.
I am truly excited about the opportunity to serve as your College of Information Sciences and Technology Representative and Student Senator. If any of this resonates with you, I ask for your support in the upcoming elections. Together, let’s make Penn State a campus we can all be proud of!
