I serve as a Water Safety Instructor for Penn State, where I teach private, semi-private, and public lessons along with fellow instructors. This position has improved my ability to communicate effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and perspectives, a skill I consider invaluable for this position.
While I may be a first-year student and not deeply entrenched in UPUA’s conventional activities, my involvement in campus political organizations, particularly as the Political Director for the College Republicans, has provided me with first-hand knowledge of student bodies’ concerns and issues. My academic career has equipped me with the tools necessary to address these concerns through consensus-building and clear communication.
In my candidacy, I stand by six guiding promises:
1. Enhancing Penn State’s environmental sustainability practices.
2. Enriching campus life through increased events and speakers.
3. Amplifying student input in financial decisions.
4. Advocating for decisions that benefit all students equitably.
5. Ensuring every student’s voice is heard transparently and faithfully.
6. Improving the clarity of UPUA’s systems and procedures.
As an outsider, I bring a fresh perspective and a commitment to representing the genuine concerns of the student body with honesty and clarity. I’ve taken the time to listen to your voices and understand your needs.
On March 27th, I seek your support, not just for myself, but for the principles of honesty, transparency, and representation for every student at Penn State. Thank you for considering me for this important role!
