Ayden Meise

Hi! My name is Ayden and I’m interested in being your College of Education Representative. I am a sophomore studying Secondary English Education and minoring in Creative Writing and English. I love the field of education because you get to foster change and growth in your students, empowering them to be the best they can possibly be. Empowering others is important to me since every person has a voice that deserves to be heard. That is why I want to be the College of Ed Representative. This role gives me the opportunity to hear all of my fellow future educators and turn their words into action.

Previously, I have served in two different positions within the UPUA. I started out as a Programming Director, which gave me plenty of insights into the executive branch of the organization. I was responsible for being the go between for the executive board and the Student Life committee, developing skills in organization and communication to help drive action. Near the end of that fall semester, the College of Education seat opened and I knew that’s where I wanted to be. The position allowed me to more directly serve my own community and make a bigger impact for education majors. Being in the role also allowed me to become a member of the College of Education Student Council where I got to meet the student leaders in our college and discover even more ways I could be making a difference. Knowing how these two groups operate, I am confident in my ability to bring all of your voices to the table with me in this role. I hope to have your support in doing so. If you have any questions, please reach out to me at ahm5451@psu.edu. Thank you.
