Kaitlyn Ragucci

Hey Penn State! My name is Katie Ragucci, I am a current freshman studying Political Science. I am running to be one of your student body representatives!

This past year I have had the privileged opportunity to serve on the UPUA’s First Year Council. This was an incredible experience, and I was able to observe and learn about the proceedings of UPUA and its involvement on campus. I was able to witness all of the good that UPUA does for students on campus and it is something I would love to continue to be a part of. I am running to ensure that every Penn State student has a voice on campus. No one should feel as if they are unheard or unrepresented. I had the honor of serving on the Student Life Committee where I along with fellow members were able to work to improve the campus for all students. Being a part of this committee and seeing everything that was accomplished showed me how important it is to be an advocate.

With my position if elected, I would love to hear and voice any concerns of the student body full heartedly. I would extend the offerings of UPUA to more students so that they know that this is a resource that is there for them no matter what. With my position, I would want to connect with the many other organizations on campus and many of the great resources that Penn State offers to provide connections and support for all students. I think that there are so many great resources that the campus offers that are unknown to many students and can be beyond beneficial to many more if promoted. If elected I would love to help to work within the topic of safety on campus as well, because no one should be afraid to walk around on their campus.

Penn State is built on the foundation of its students. Together as a student body, we have the opportunity to make it the best it can be. This can not be done without hearing every voice. I will work tirelessly to ensure that this happens!
