As a dedicated advocate for student well-being and equity, I am running for an at-large representative position to continue driving meaningful change at Penn State. My experience as Vice President of UPUA, Vice President of DEI for the Panhellenic Council, DEI Chair for Lion Ambassadors, and numerous other leadership roles have equipped me with the skills, passion, and commitment necessary to make our campus more accessible, inclusive, and supportive for all students.
My platform prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, particularly accessibility and environmental justice. As someone who has worked extensively on accessibility-related projects, I recognize the barriers students with disabilities face daily and will push for proactive solutions. This includes ensuring that campus infrastructure, digital resources, and classroom accommodations are fully accessible. Environmental justice is also a key component of my platform as I believe in promoting sustainable campus policies that protect our local environment.
Affordability is another pressing issue for Penn State students. I am committed to advocating for lower tuition rates and ensuring financial resources are accessible to all students, regardless of their background. College should be a pathway to opportunity, not a financial burden, and I will work to increase scholarship funding, financial aid transparency, and affordability initiatives. Additionally, increasing retention rates is critical to student success. By addressing academic, financial, and social barriers, I will work to ensure that students not only enroll at Penn State but thrive here and graduate.
Safety and accessibility go hand in hand with transportation. As part of my commitment to making campus safer and more navigable, I will advocate for the implementation of bike lanes. A bike-friendly campus promotes sustainability, affordability, and student well-being, and I will push for infrastructure improvements that prioritize cyclists and pedestrians.
My leadership roles and experiences have prepared me to be a strong advocate for all students. I am passionate about creating a Penn State that is more equitable, affordable, and safe, and I am eager to continue this work within the UPUA. I look forward to listening to students, addressing their concerns, and making tangible improvements to our campus community.
I hope to earn your vote so that we can work together to build a Penn State that truly serves all of its students!
