Candidate Biography
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit my page!

My name is Cami Barber. I am a first-year student here at Penn State from Hershey, PA. I am currently majoring in studio art. I hope to focus on the path to art therapy during my time at Penn State. I have learned the professional aspects of the art world thanks to an internship at a custom jewelry business, in addition to selling my paintings. I love reading, being outside, and practicing yoga and pilates.

I am currently a member of UPUA’s First Year Council. I have been able to be a part of the academic affairs committee, where the college representatives discuss their ideas and legislation. I have watched how the different colleges on campus work with their own groups separately and bring their ideas into UPUA.

I am so grateful to be a part of the Arts and Architecture college. It is a tight-knit college with lots of opportunities and support. Through effectively representing this college, I believe they have the chance to grow even further. I hope to bring a well-rounded, open-minded perspective to my representation.

As the Arts and Architecture representative, I would work to provide a voice to all Arts and Architecture students. I would connect this college to the rest of the student body. Through working together with the student council, I will be able to both effectively speak for A&A students and help to discuss and plan various things to aid the college. As well as implement ways to benefit the college’s students, programs, and community.
