Chris Goodrich

Candidate Biography

My name is Christopher Goodrich, and I’m a student in the Schreyer Honors College majoring in Finance and Economics. If you don’t know me, you can usually find me around campus on the couches in Warnock Commons’ game room, wasting my meal plan in the Kern Building’s Panera Bread, or making the uphill climb up Shortlidge Road from South housing to the Business Building.

As a member of the UPUA over the past, I’ve become very familiar with the workings of the Faculty Senate. You might think that the inner workings of the Faculty Senate aren’t as relevant to us as students, but the Faculty Senate decides the academic schedule of the university in addition to the course policies all teaching professors have to follow and must include in their syllabi, and it’s crucial that we have student voices in the Senate that can best speak to our interests as students.

I believe that I’m qualified to be one of those voices by virtue of my experience in not only the UPUA, but the UPUA’s Academic Affairs Committee, which plays a crucial role in deciding what we as students want out of the Faculty Senate. Therefore, I humbly request your vote come March 27th for the position of Student Senator.

If you have any questions about my campaign or ideas for what you’d like out of Penn State’s academic policies, I encourage you to contact me at cdg5413@psu.edu.
